1.   Educate the educators! Ignorant university admin. causes VN flag conflict

A group of Vietnamese students at UTA (University of Texas-Arlington) are protesting for the recognition and display of the former South Vietnamese (yellow with 3 red stripes) on their campus after administrators had displayed the communist flag (red with yellow star) during a cultural exchange festival on campus. They are fighting for the recognition of the yellow flag as the official flag to represent the Vietnamese-Americans. The university currently has the red flag on display and ignorantly told the students that if they did not want to see the flag to just shut their eyes.

If you haven't already heard about this, could you please sign their online
petition at http://www.vcflaguta.com. Please also pass the word on and
encourage others to support this cause.

Sincerely,

Victor Nguyen-Lieu
