Ross Meador was a 19-year old American serving alternative military duty at orphanages in South Vietnam in April, 1975, when the communists invaded. These are thoughts written on April 2, 2005 as he flies to Ha Noi as a businessman whose life has been intertwined with Vietnamese Americans and adoption issues since his service.
