We collectively are calling on the government of The Socialist Republic of Vietnam to give back the freedom to our husbands and relative. Since 1982, the government of Vietnam has penned its signature to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, committed to uphold and respect the sacred pledge of the Declaration, not to violate the basic human rights, such as the freedom of thoughts, freedom of assembly, freedom of speech, and freedom of expression. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is the common framework for countries and people everywhere to respect and aspire to the spirit of human dignity and worth which carries a universal value that cannot for any reason, be put aside, wrongly or arbitrarily interpreted for the purpose of oppressing the voice of dissidents. Albeit, our husbands, loved ones and friends of our husbands such the poet Tran Duc Thanh, Ngo Quynh, etc… who are presently charged with violating Article 88 of the Criminal Code, which allegedly claimed that they have “produced and disseminated documents that are against the government of The Socialist Republic of Vietnam” We earnestly call on the government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to honor its signature, respecting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to stop persecuting the dissidents, give human rights a chance and release our husbands and relative. Sài Gòn, ngày 19 tháng 11 năm 2008 – Vào lúc 21 giờ đêm, ngày 19 tháng 11, cũng là ngày CSVN tổ chức lễ Đoàn kết các Dân tộc. Đảng viên đảng Dân chủ Nhân dân đã đồng loạt rải truyền đơn tại nhiều khu vục quanh chợ Phạm Văn Hai, tức ông Tạ cũ, thuộc quận Tân Bình, Tp. Sài Gòn. Truyền đơn tố cáo đảng CSVN đã vô cảm, thiếu trách nhiệm giải quyết các vấn nạn do thiên tai gây ra. Vì tham nhũng, độc tài nên đảng CSVN chính là tác nhân gián tiếp đã gây ra thảm cảnh lũ lụt tại Hà Nội và nhiều thành phố khác. Truyền đơn thứ nhất ký tên Đảng DCND, in khổ nhỏ, nội dung theo hình thức thơ ca để dễ truyền tải và đi vào quần chúng. Măc dù quyền phổ biến thông tin đã được công nhận trong điều 69 Hiến Pháp nước CHXHCNVN, nhưng đảng CSVN vẫn tìm mọi cách trấn áp các tiếng nói đối lập. Sự kiện để tránh bị lực lượng an ninh đàn áp, đảng viên Đảng DCND đã phải nhiều lần rải truyền đơn nhằm phổ biến thông tin trong nhân dân, đã minh chứng Việt Nam là một nhà nước độc tài, toàn trị.
