ADDRESS:
Dear Governor Schwarzenegger,
I am writing today to urge you to veto SB 1322, which would allow communists and sympathizers access to our education system to the detriment of our children and our country.
This bill allows Communists to infiltrate our great nation as it deletes provisions permitting a school employee to be dismissed if he or she is a knowing member of the Communist Party.
This dangerous proposal deletes a requirement that a public employee answer, under oath, questions regarding membership in an organization advocating the forceful or violent overthrow of the government or in the Communist Party. It is reasonable to require a person desiring to use a school for a meeting, for example, to sign a statement stipulating that they do not advocate the overthrow of the government by force, violence, or other unlawful means.
It is also important to remember that the Communist Party is not a dead organization. It is alive and actively repressing human beings in
In addition, public servants should not be exempted from the oath of office prescribed in the California Constitution. There are plenty of jobs in the private sector for individuals who do not want to “support and defend the Constitution of the

RE: SB 1322 - Request to VETO
Dear Governor Schwarzenegger:
Hundred of thousands of Vietnamese American parents in California are outraged that our legislators want to allow Communists unfettered access to our children. If communist teachers define 'peaceful' like the Communist police who arrested the Americans in Beijing, their teaching will certainly include instruction on how to overthrow the Bill of Rights-especially the freedoms of speech and religion.
We look to you to protect Californians against the spread of communism, and to continue the legacy of fellow California Governor Ronald Reagan in standing firm against the continuing evils of the communists. We strongly urge you to veto SB 1322.
Your decision to VETO this bill will send us all a much needed assurance that California is still a safe State to live in, a place we can truly call home.
Sincerely,
On behalf of Vietnamese Community of Southern California

The Honorable
Governor of
Subject: SB 1322 - Request to VETO
Dear Mr. Governor:
Vietnamese-Americans in
seeks to remove prohibitions on teaching Communism for indoctrination
purposes in schools among other provisions.
To convince voters to pass this bill, promoters of the bill argued
that communism is a "failed ideology" that no longer is a threat to
the
desk for approval.
But a quick visit to the Communist Party USA web site http://www.cpusa.org/
will open our eyes, and shows us that their argument is NOT TRUE; also
that the Communists have no desire to support our government and are
still actively promoting their radical beliefs. A quote from this web
site states: “The Beijing Olympics represent a vision of the kind of
future for which the Communist Party USA strives: a world where people
from hundreds of countries come together peacefully to enjoy a common
cause.”
In reality, just a week ago, three Americans were just arrested and
aggressively dragged from Tiananmen Square by communist police for
peacefully protesting their opposition to
human rights. Apparently the Communists believe that silencing
peaceful protesters and dragging them to jail is part of coming
together “peacefully”.
Dear Mr. Governor:
Hundred of thousands of Vietnamese-American parents in
outraged that our legislators want to allow Communists unfettered
access to our children. If communist teachers define “peaceful” like
the Communist police who arrested the Americans in
teaching will certainly include instruction on how to overthrow the
Bill of Rights - especially the freedoms of speech and religion.
We look to you to protect Californians against the spread of
communism, and to continue the legacy of fellow California Governor
Ronald Reagan in standing firm against the continuing evils of the
communists. We strongly urge you to veto SB 1322.
Your decision to VETO this bill will give us all a much needed
assurance that
can truly call home.
Sincerely,
On behalf of Association of Former Vietnamese Political Prisoners of
